With the start of a new year, many of us have resolutions or goals to always do better with money — whether it’s saving, investing, spending wiser, or any improvements with how you manage money.

For me, like millions of others unemployed, my finances and my job situation have gotten me down sometimes — a barrier to doing certain business ventures, buying the things I need, home organization tools, and just being able to treat myself instead of just paying for essentials and bills.

I want to encourage you all to keep your head up and know that out of your circumstances, will come a great blessing! Receive it! Amen!

Here are 2 money saving hacks you need to take advantage of now.

1). Subscribe, SUBscribe, SUBSCRIBE.

One of the ways I like to save money on subscriptions is by bundling. Stay with me… Look for offers from your regular services such as Internet, phone and streaming subscriptions. Yes, I always recommend to condense the amount of subscriptions you have, but definitely keep it to essentials as much as possible and save on entertainment subscriptions with my easy tips below.

When you like to unwind to your favorite shows, services like Netflix and Hulu can definitely add up and by doing built-in or 2 or 3-in-1 packages like Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN or Spotify + Hulu, you can save some dough to watch your favorite shows and movies at a much lower rate.

This year, with movies not yet being released in cinemas, you can still enjoy your movie-going experience from the comfort of your home for FREE— already included in your streaming subscriptions.

Recently, AT&T actually offered their customers HBO Max for free with their phone services and is still offering this! Take advantage of this now!

By doing this, you are definitely saving at least $15 on your usual movie ticket without having to pay any extra.

I definitely look forward to being able to go to the movie theaters again, but until then, I’m going to enjoy at-home premiere experiences and I hope you can too! Psst…Prime Video, HBO Max, and Disney+ will be doing at-home experiences as part of your subscription.

2). Low tides and low prices.

Hospitality companies like Marriott are offering lower rates than ever to travel since the pandemic hit, especially in the later months of 2020. You can still take advantage of lower rates now.

Yes, you might be weary of traveling right now but there is a way to travel safely and even plan your travel later in the year. I recommend going to fresh-air, open spaces like islands and resort destinations like Hawaii or Mexico. Not only can you still enjoy the beautiful views, but you can also save money and get your wanderlust fix in a safer way.

Better yet, if you have a hospitality account like Marriott Bonvoy, you can get even lower rates as a member.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the savings.

Happy and safe travels!
