Yes, like you mentioned, the average is conservative and it varies by state, region, city, and of course, person.

The amount of money spent on lunch was very insightful but definitely shelter in place has made me spice up my cooking, recipes and meal prep. I don’t like packing my lunch most of the time because I feel like it’s plain and sometimes I forgot, but even just three times a week, that will make a heck of a difference. Even that money I would’ve spent on lunch ($10-$20), then I could put that in my savings.
